Love is a Star

How many times have I looked up at night,
Gazing at a tiny star?
How many wishes had been made,
By such a broken heart?
Love is that way, I think,
Something to wish on and hope to get
All along seeing that it is your choice.

In the darkness of night, sorrow, and plight,
Love shines through
To dance and sing and make you rise.

Love is a twinkling that shines inside
Your soulmate's utterly bewitching eyes
When you hear them say:
I love you.

Finding yourself lost in such a deep void
Look about you at the glistening diamond stars
For you see, there are that many chances
To find love.

So gather up your courage,
Take a deep breath and wish,
For that shooting love isn't the only one to streak across your sight.
And just, as it is so simply said,
Reach for the stars.
