Daddy Daddy when im born, old me tight, let me see your smiles of happines and the joy eminating from your smile. Daddy when im five, hold my hand on first day of school but please dont cry Daddy in front of all those kids. Daddy when im ten, love me unconditionaly for who i am. Daddy when im eighteen please dont cry at my graduation, for i'll always be your little girl. Daddy when i give birth, please hold me like you did when i was born. Daddy when you go from this earth, take not your precious spirit from me. Daddy o Daddy, please tell me that your so very proud of me. |

Terri: I was very touched by this poem. I'm an old man who might become a great-grandpa before long and I never had a daughter of my own, but if I had I would have been proud of her if she wrote poems like this one! Send us some more... Willem |
