Sitting in Michael's Lap

Did ever there exist a person who
Engendered such a perfect happiness,
Like rarest buds come finally to bloom?
In silken petals of the richest hue,
Grown from a heart that lights the deepest gloom,
Here framed is joy, in quiet tenderness.
Transcendent flower, my delight is you.
