In wisps of mist, of woven dream
In wisps of mist, of woven dream
Lost spirits walk in quiet grace
Lost spirits walk in quiet grace
In dream, lost wisps of spirits grace
In woven mist of quiet walk.

Of silence made the hanging shroud
Of silence made the hanging shroud
Fear fades the living into death
Fear fades the living into death
The living death-shroud fades into
The hanging silence made of fear

The wanting swallowed in the numb
The wanting swallowed in the numb
Dark hopes by shadow fingers claimed
Dark hopes by shadow fingers claimed
The wanting claimed by swallowed hopes
Numb fingers shadow in the dark

In woven shroud of hanging mist
The spirits' wisps in silence dream
Numb quiet fades, swallowed by fear
Into dark fingers wanting death
In grace the living walk, of hopes,
Of shadow made: the lost – the claimed.

You cannot choose the way of your death, but the path you choose will determine its own end.

You do love challenging forms, eh, Kess?! Of course, this is excellent!

SADISTIC she says????

Now, I've been rightly accused of being sarcastic, sardonic, and sometimes even caustic..... But sadistic?????? Li'l ole me????

What else could I challenge you with - after those merrily loony double sestina's???

Oh - Nice job, btw...

Surely a nice piece you,ve written
Words so well in line
Love it
and i see the challagnes aren't over yet

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

What a fine experience you give me with this piece . . . no, two intertwined experiences.  You present me with a verse form new to me which I would consider almost unachievable, as well as a sample of it which I must consider almost unsurpassable.  Bravo!

Actually, I know for a fact that Kess IS sadistic!   hehe
But her words ring brilliantly when challenged. Is there nought you cannot do my friend? And do exceedingly well at that?

Wonderful Kess!  I don't know what muse you've found lately, but don't let it go!!  Your writing has indeed been the best that I have ever seen it. . . perhaps Nan is your muse?

And Nan, I wouldn't say that you're sadistic, but. . .

I think that this might warrant a form challenge!  Anybody with me?

I am also unfamiliar with this poetic form, but after reading this excellent piece of writing...I know I'd like to see more...
