I
Want
A Love
Like This

~Marge Tindal~
2000

I want a
love
that
embraces
my soul

~*~

that leaves me
breathless

~*~

A love that
opens windows
and
breathes
through the years.

~*~
A love that
sets me
free
to be
me

~*~

A love
that I can
give
that comes
back
to
me

~*~

A love that
stays
when others
have
gone

~*~

A love
beyond
my wildest
dreams

~*~

A love of
sure recognition
at first glance

~*~

A love of
steady measure
A love that is
my greatest
treasure

~*~
A love who knows
what my sighs are all about
A love that says
in a look
what others say
with words

~*~

A love
just like
you
have given
me

Marge, sounds like you've found it.  I've found mine...and it WAS at first sight...

A love like this is made more lovely
by your discription.

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.

But Marge what is all that fuzz
All what you wished
I thought you have this all with us
Just Kidding I could not say
Because I meant it that way
But yes there should be one
Who you can love all by yourself...and then some
Seriously
This is an inspiring piece you wrote there
And happy are those who have such love

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

If I could just fill my name in at the top of this poem it would fit like a glove...except for those last five lines darnit.  A long time ago in a far away country I wrote a poem titled "What does Gina want" and I wrote six lines describing all the things that I wanted from Gina you know like kissing and hugging and spending the night together and in the 7th line I suddenly realized hey wait a minute...what does gina want.  And you know what...it wasn't exactly me.  However I did enjoy the time we have spent together and the opportunity.  Oh, I noticed in the last five lines your Love was fulfilled...so enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.   James

Sunshine-
I'm happy for you, dear.
Me?  Always looking.

Martie-
Love is so beautifully worn
by lovers, is it not?
Thanks for liking it.

Helmut Becker-
Yes, loving is special.
Lucky are those who have love to wear.
And the rest of us are out shopping !

James-
I write of love in the way I'd like
it to fit.  Whenever it has ... I've
loved being in it.  And when it hasn't,
I've loved the opportunity anyway.

Love is always open to interpretation.
Love lives in my heart ...
opportunities are what we make of them.

Thanks for enjoying ... hey, Gina may
not have fit .... but at least you enjoyed
the encounter.

Stephen J-
Okay ... just slow down a little bit, okay?
Respond to some others poetry for the evening.
Get a feel for what others write.
Have a wonderful evening.
~*Marge*~

Nan-
Thanks, hon.  You're right ..
nothing at all wrong with wanting it all.
And giving it all in return.

Corrine-
Honey, if we come up with a clone of this ...
we'll need one for all us gals !
LOL !  But, wouldn't it be wonderful !

Love ~Marge~

Hey, Marge, I'll tell you what I'll do
I'll give that special love to you.
I'll do my best to be a charmer,
Be your knight in shining armor,
Give you love the whole night through.
Dear Marge, that's what I'll do for you.

Hey, Marge, if you give me a chance
I'll fill your life with sweet romance.
I'll put you on a pedestal,
Be there to catch you if you fall,
Make you smile with ballyhoo.
Oh, Marge, I'll do these things for you.

Dear Marge, this is what I will do.
Each day I'll make our love renew.
I'll take away your pain and stress,
Eliminate all emptiness
And open Heaven to your view...
OOPS! er, my girlfriend says to say hi, too

Balladeer-

You've broken my heart
in little pieces ...
always promising ...
always teasing.
Just when you get my hopes a'quiver ..
you run for cover ...
and don't deliver.

Someday you'll regret
throwing me a little token -
You'll want my loving
but I'll call ORKIN !

Gee, if you don't get my loving token
You say that you'll go to Orkin
And. if I make my girl an ex
She said she'll call Terminex!
I'm beat so much I feel swollen.
I guess that I'll call Truly Nolen!

Astraea-
Thanks ... I'm glad you enjoyed it.

*Balladeer-

Well, Truly Nolen
just won't do.
And Orkin kind of
just sucks too.
I'll hold off on Terminex
if you ever become an EX !

I like the idea
of seeing you
in 'shining armor'
WAHOO !

So, Mister tell you
what we'll do ...
if 'she' is ever
through with you.

I'll take you up
on your proposition ...
and surrender my heart
in sweet submission.

I'll share with you
the pedestal ...
so we'll be even
after all.

Now for your
'swollen' parts ...
I recommend you
finish something ...
that you start ! ! ! !

The world would be a lot nicer place if you could bottle a love like that and give it to everyone.
Im sure if he`s read this he`s thanking God
for allowing him to have such a Special Woman to share his love with.
Best of luck for many years to come.

Awesome! Reading this poem is like reading several (hundred) mini-poems, or being shown flashcards on romance. How'd you do that?

Joel-
I almost missed your response as
I quit receiving e-mail notices on it for
some strange reason.
Thank you so much for your comments.
This is the epitome of what love should
be like.
Glad you enjoyed it.

Mike-
Thanks for the terrific comment.
Gosh .. 'flash cards' on romance ...
I hadn't thought of that.
But, what a great idea !

So pleased that you found it appealing.

I really enjoy the 'artistry' of the
formats that Passion's has given us to use.

I am the captain of my soul.
