On Eagle Wings
~Marge Tindal~ 2000

Through the eagle's eyes I get to see
things I have not seen before.
A trip to the ocean amidst the sandcastles,
overhead an eagle soars.

From the cliffs overlooking the ocean
he appears as the sun sets low.
Dipping softly as he glides
along the shoreline that he knows.

Searching for his love on the sands of time,
wondering where she has gone.
Knowing full well that she won't return,
leaving him to fly alone.

Come share the beauty of the eagle in flight.
Soar eagle, soar.
Climb aboard his majestic wing
as he races along the shore.

As swiftly as he came
he suddenly veers from my sight.
He's gone among the bluff's,
nesting till tomorrow's light.

On eagle wings I get to fly
to places I've never been ...
I hope to fly with the eagle
and return to the ocean again.

*Okay ... when inspiration hits,
it just hits.

Elizabeth, my friend-

I am FINALLY feeling a little better.
Should be back in the swing of things for the weekend.  Thanks, gal.

Nate -

Thank you sooooooo much.
I like the fact that you like them both.
Have a great evening.

All I have to do is close my eyes
I shall not open...for it is not wise
To lose a dream as you wrote down
To fly with the eagle upon the sky wide crown
I like also this poesy
For it made me feel so free

Thank, you also for your kind words on my art work.

Makes me long to be that eagle......
Beautiful, Marge, simply beautiful!

Hi Marge,

A flight for the soul, wonderfully done!

Soar eagle, soar.
Climb aboard his majestic wing
as he races along the shore.

Thank you, Rus ....
a great morning to you.

My morning muses would keep
me here all day ...
but ... work calls my name
and I'm off and running.

Roger-

I've been there but once in my life ..
and I swear the muse took me there
on the flight when writing this one
which was inspired by Helmut Becker's
posting of The Eagle.

Thank you for recognizing a place
that the eagle soared in my mind.
