Just one more time to hear your voice
Just one more time to have that choice
Just one more time to see your face
Just one more day…in time and space.

Just one more time to show I care
Just one more day our time to share
Just one more time to see your smile
Just one more time…just for awhile.

Oh, just once more without this pain
Just once more together again
Oh, just once more to be not sad
Oh, once more…to have what I had.

Oh, just once more to hear you say
“Stop by dear, if you’re up this way!”
Oh, just once more to see you smile
Oh, just once more…just for awhile.

…just one more time
…just one more day
…oh, just once more
…just for awhile

In memory of my Father
Francis B. Corbley

.....forever missed.

Once more, indeed.  It's Been six years since my father passed but that longing never goes away.  My heart is with you on this one, Denise.

I knew from the start [I don't know why] that this was not a love lost, but deeper - both of my parents are gone, and I know the feeling.  I too, wish I had one more time just to say to them "I love you..."

I am very blessed to still have both my parents Denise.....and after reading your poem, I placed a call....just to say " I love you"...
Thank you for this most moving piece...

Very, very tender and touching.  Yes, it sets a person thinking.  Thank you for sharing, and my heart goes out to you.  I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Oh, Denise -

Such a lovely piece for a tribute for your father.

Just lost my younger sister in October ...
so know just how real the pain of missing
a loved one can be.

Bless you hon.

A fine piece of work Lady D... I can understand the desire. I'm very lucky to still have my father about after several heart attacks, one mini-stoke, and two open hearts.  I'm thankful that he is able to share in the lives of his grand daughters and give to them the future memories of a great man.

My best to you and yours on this difficult day.

Thank you all for your warm words of sympathy and empathy. I appreciate it very much.

Pepper-your response made me cry. I'm glad that my poem prompted you to make that call.

Thanks again for your kind words. It means alot to me, my friends.

The anniversaries following someone we've lost seems extra hard. I know you could say just one more time could I say Happy Birthday. You write beautiful poetry about your dad...he'd be proud. Hugs for you dear Denise.

Thank you SEA, Julie and Tori for your warm comments.

SEA-I'm glad it inspired you to call them. I am touched.

Julie- Yep, I sure did wish that. He'd be proud but mostly embarrassed by the attention, I think! Thanks!

Tori- You never stop missing them, I know. You have my sympathies too.
