Heartfelt thoughts

My heart has been hard and sad
and this same heart has been soft and glad.
My hearts been with me thru all my sorrow
all my joy and passionate pleasure
and within reside the hopes and the dreams that I treasure.

Together we've shared some lonely heartaches
and also felt the sadness of many a heartbreak.
My heartfelt thoughts today are quite clear
they're special feelings that I hold near and dear.

My heart desires to replace my sorrow with joy and happiness,
to fill my emptiness with some warm tenderness,
and my loneliness could use a sweetly done caress,
a kiss and an intimate embrace no less.
I know my heart would Love all this loveliness.

Only one more heartfelt desire remains for this heart of mine
and that is to Love and Cherish another until the end of time.

Heartfelt, indeed, James.  This speaks so true for most every heart, I would say. May god bless Echo and you, too, for thinking of her.  Beautiful poem.

Thank you Michael and Whiskey and Denise for the nice comments about my poem.   I wrote this because after I had read Echo's poem titled "Hearts" I began to think once again about some ponderings that have recently been making themselves known inside my own heart.  I think that Love is like a river and Love is always there but it requires a softening of ones heart to experience that flow.  I have been experiencing this softening of my heart recently and it is a blessing.    James

James, I am glad you said something in my last poem about this, cause I had no idea.  I am glad I was able to inspire you to write something so wonderful and beautiful as this.  You have said so much in this poem and so wonderfully too!  I will miss the greatness of your poetry while I am gone.  Take care of yourself ok?!?!

Just be glad I'm not your child! *evil grin*
