Lost in my mind
With so many thoughts
Wondering what made
Everything suddenly stop.
Was it me?
Did I do something wrong?
Did I make you think
Everything was gone?
How could it end this way?
Hoping you will come to me and say,
"I love you, I need you."
But knowing the truth,
You will pay.
I gave you my heart and soul
You gave me lies that never unfold.
You never called, you never said good-bye.
All you did was wave and left my side.
I thought your eyes would never lie,
But how I look harder and I begin to cry.
How could I fall for your so-called love?
Talking to you felt so great,
But when you left school there was no more faith.
Time was lost, our love was spared,
When in fact, you never even cared.
You left me behind, you left to Phoenix.
You got drugged up and told me you didn't.
I believed you when all you did was lie.
How can my heart go on, and yet not cry?
Let me go, let me fly.
Let me be happy once again in my life.
I can't take no more pain.
I've fallen and broken,
And yet you remain.
How can that happen?
How can that be?
How can I love the man I see?
How dare you lie to my face,
And make me think it was all my mistake?
Now it's time to say good-bye,
I've moved on with a new man at my side.
He won't lie,
He won't cheat,
He will be the man of my dreams.

Good luck to you in both cases
here at Passions and with your new man
Well done

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Welcome BabyBlue!  I think you should re-title your poem to "No Fool"    Sounds to me like that first guy was the fool, and you're the smart one!
Good luck to you

Dear New Friends,
Thank you all for your reply's.  Sad but true, this really took place.  It was hard to even write about it, but once I started, I couldn't stop.  I owe all my new strenght to my best friend, and new "love".  I'm glad you enjoyed it.  I'm working on 3 other poems now.  I hope to have them done soon.

And he hated the fact that he loved it.

Some of the best poetry can be written from a broken heart
