It's Written in the Stars

So exquisite was our precious love
I trembled from within
Fearing it would blow away
With ever changing wind

So intangible and fragile
Are the wings of heart's own bliss
He calmed my fears one starlit night
With a gentle kiss

And then he took me by the hand
And pointed up above
And there in splendid radiance
Was written all our love

For every single tender kiss
A single star he placed
And spelled our love across the sky
In soft poetic grace

Our twinkling constellations
Filled the galaxy
And shown upon the universe
For all eternity

Elizabeth Santos

Simply lovely
you made me float
for a moment
I feel such peace
in this piece.

Elizabeth,
You are so talented I cannot say enough,
You have written a huricane and I a simple puff.
If you don't mind I'll keep this one,
For my heart and mind as a captive sun.

Paul, Poetry does make you float, kind of like a crystal snowflake
Thanks,
Liz

Coroline.
I love that word "Exquisite" There is no other that says what it says, and so I use it sparingly in my verses, like the one above
Thank you
Liz

Hoot, Yes, this would be beautiful in the eyes of a romantic
Thanks,
Liz

Whiskey,
Seems you describe yourself
Thank you
Liz

Sy,
Thank you for your words of praise
To your poetic heights I never raise
But write my verses in pure elation
Thanks to your dear inspiration
Liz

Sally,
You are so kind. Thanks
Liz

Mike, From the heart come the sweetest songs
Thank you
Liz

Easy to read and flowing so well
The poem took me into its spell
Thank you , very nice

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

What a wonderful poem Elizabeth.  It has set examples to me that there could be "Happy Poems", somehow, I just can't get those happy feelings out.  But with your poem, I am sure going to try.

Thank you for the encouragement.

Good Luck to you,
Baby Blue
