Once and a while
I sit here and smile
remembering the good times we had
Every now and again
The pain will begin
and I just let that memory fade.

Day in and day out
I wonder about
why you were led astray
year after year
you are no longer here
alone here in bed I lay

Through laughter and tears
Iíve conquered my fears
of spending my time alone
with help from a friend
I no longer pretend
my love for him has grown

Once and a while
I sit here and smile
remembering the good times we had
Every now and again
The pain will begin
and I just let the memory fade.

Very nice.  It's not always easy to remember the good and not the bad.  At least for me they go hand in hand.

HUGS

Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn.
