FOREVER FOR A DAY

Oh, we've waited such a long time.
Some things, though, are worth the wait.
To share this dance in dream and rhyme,
To touch the hand of Fate.

No more searching for falling stars,
One wish comes true for two.
Walking free from the prison bars
Of our pasts, to love anew.

Faith in heaven, God heard our prayer,
Our backs turned to the world.
Both given up on love to share,
His miracle unfurled.

Million to one, odds must have been,
On us finding each other.
Through magic words of dream within
Poems to one another.

Never have I been touched this way,
Though I've never felt your skin.
I've found pleasure words cannot say,
Feeling true love begin.

And the day is growing nearer,
I'll look into your eyes.
Our destiny so much clearer,
Somewhere ‘neath the Cancún skies.

A moment so long waited for,
Auras will blend in blue.
On angel's wings will my soul soar,
To finally kiss you.

Some things, indeed, are worth the wait.
Lo, Time's priceless endeavor.
For the day our two souls culminate,
I'd gladly wait forever.

To mi-lord.....I read this in awe of how well you do share your heart with me...and your soul, and your life, and your love.  If you don't complete me, nothing ever will.  In 19 days, I will hold you, and sing to you, and kiss your lips....over and over and over.     I just pray time stands still for the whole week...I won't want it to end.

Thank you - this poem will now become the cover of your half of our book.  It's a must....I love you.  I will keep my promises to you, if you'll let me.  If you plan to run away fast after meeting me - well, let's just say I have my adidas on now!!  *** tapping foot in anticipation of a foot race!  ROFL

You two do make me smile, a perfect combination and blend..

HUGS both

Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn.

Thank you all for the kind replies.  Indeed, the time is getting near and ol' Mike's getting nervous...LOL

Gen, the only place I'll be racing with you is to the Altar, and the honeymoon suite... I, too, hope the week goes by real slow. You are my completion, mi-Lady.  I hope we are never separated again once we are together.

Pardon me, but I just wanted to bring this one back...it happens to be one of my MANY favorites of Michael's and it's especially important to me right now, as our trip is nearing.  17 days dear....

arghhhh, I can see the stern of that fine sailing ship now, I cans.  What's that I spy?  A large sign across the back of that fine vessel?

If this ship is rocking, don't bother docking.

arghhhh - methinks there be rolling seas ahead for these two -

Have a terrific time!

psst, Femme, keep him away from the engine room

We shall perpare a song or two
If you ever get back you too (lol)
The poem is nice and worded well
LngJhnAg, I agree, Femme doesn't like engine smell
Hope that all for you to goes so well
I was away 6000 miles
Now there is only

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.
