     The recurring dream

It's all in my mind just locked within
And only when I'm buried in sleep,
Does it image, the fair or sin.
Rising the abyss of the deep.

Nothing like a prison with bars,
More like a bottomless pit.
Whose core in black with shining stars.
All locked in faults beyond my wit.

And the abyss, it has no floor.
Nor even a door with a key.
And the wonder is even more,
Then I or anyone could see.

And I fret in the vigor of wait,
What voyaging phantoms will sprout.
For there is naught but mist as a gate.
And in my mind the devil of doubt.

But it always ends in the same old way.
With sweat my pillow, I awake the day.

And you took me there with you, Sy - quite a journey.

What voyaging phantoms will sprout.
For there is naught but mist as a gate.
And in my mind the devil of doubt.

These lines gave me the chills...

Sy,
This dream of yours is phantasy
I'm glad it belongs to you and not to me
You can just tell me all about it
Another great poem!

Hope you're not fallen into deep
Would miss your beautyful poems indeed
This reminded me on some of my dreams
great fall with a million screems

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Freud would be interested in that you call it a dream, and not a nightmare...

well done, dear Sir!

You took me there with you...chilling verse!

Excellent work, as usual

May I never be too busy to help another's load,
Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed.

Yanno Sy....I thrive on being a smart ass...(I think it's because I've been corresponding with Balladeer and LongJohn so long).....and I can think of a bunch of things I could be a smartass with about this poem....but it's really just too damn good to add my BS to....Well done...you are really an amazing poet my friend.....though I don't reply to all of your stuff, I do read it, (maybe it's just jealousy, respect or envy), but I truly like your stuff.....(Then again, I envy, respect and am jealous of Balladeer's and LongJohn's stuff too, but sometimes temptation's just too damn strong to ignore)besides, you're such a nice guy?

Your crafting is visionary, be it fright or delight.

Toe,
Your showing your soft spot again, But I thank you for that. You are a quick wit with a good sense of humor and I am not above a little joshing. I too read all your stuff but don't respond to all, but you are my anchor so don't let go and keep sending in.
Your friend Sy
Meadow,
A wonderful comment and I thank you much.
