Well I just got into work to a notice that they are taking down our T-1...not sure for how long...and I wanted to post one last poem, but don't have time to write a new one, so here's an old one...will miss you all....sigh

the fraidy cat jive

i saw it coming but couldn't seem to stop it no matter how hard I tried or how fast i jumped

i reach for the volume
but twenty plus won't
and thirty plus can't
drown the voices

disillusions thunder
is this heap of emotions
what used to be me?

who did i think i was anyway
that i
should dare
to dream?

the pull was quick
the landing not so
the laughter
now deafening

the fraidy cat itoldyou's reverberate

preset defaults
illuminate beyond
tolerance

reality sweeps wide
finality sets in
the fringes reclaim
the lost...

remember this...nobody has an unbreakable heart

Werk continues to interfere with fun, doesn't it? *S* I hope your access problems are solved soon so that you can hurry back to us... you'll be greatly missed! But thanks for the poem... the title made me smile!!! (Now if only we can get the fraidy cat to the point where the laughter is HERS! *G*)

Oh, no!!! They can't do this to us, er, you, lovey. We need you here. Will thay accept an affidavit signed by 500 poets proclaiming you necessity to be here? Will they accept one poet on his knees, begging? Well, let's hope for the best.

Iloveit: I remember this one, now how about a deal, I'll loan you Snoops for a while and he'll teach you how to be a big brave pussy cat...*g* Cause then they'll be a fraidycat more afraid than him...LOL

Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn.
