The Dream.

Tonight and every night
In my dreams you'll play
Shining within the light
Of my mind's gateway

You stand there still
And beckon me to come
Using the power and will
Of your angelic Wisdom

Childlike, you take my hand
And whisk me through the sky
To the stars, the moon and
You teach my soul to fly

I swoop and I turn
And I laugh out loud with glee
Then suddenly come to learn
That you have left meā€¦.

Alone.

Until tomorrow night
Once more you'll come to play
Shining within the light
Of my mind's gateway.

Dark Angel.

Dark... wonderful poem, it reminds of nights I've awoke and just had to fall asleep quickly to get back to my dream.

Dark - this is a wonderful capturing of where a dream can take us - and how it can leave us. Wonderful my friend!

Great imagery! But I fly only in my dreams! Heights frighten me!

Dark Angel,
Are you sure these are dreams and not those flocks of birds you wrote about? Hmmmm
This was lovely

Soul-sib, this one set me back a bit. 'Tis not your usual style and it is very well done . I am glad you directed me to it.

This is simply beautiful DA - you have captured the wonderful dream-like feeling that you write about, makes me feel whisked away in the dream also. Well done.

Nice read there...tanks
Flows nicely with my dream

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Thus is the way of pseudo-reality; sometimes the dreams are more real than the reality, are they not?

Lovely verse.
