Seconds within the Flower
~First Knight~

Alone in this world of mine,
My creation of where I live.
Where lonely is the norm,
And there's nothing left to give.

In the darkness of the night,
So rings the pain of empty.
Without the company of another,
Silence plays it's symphony.

Now running in my dream of dreams,
I'll never  know the wonder.
In the sharing of another's life,
Where did I start this blunder?

Born to lose this love I seek,
Things may never change.
Help me now my true sweet love,
Don't venture beyond my range.

A second in the fire's flame,
Seems like a completed hour.
A hour in your lover's arms,
But a second within the flower

Being in love with someone is more than just saying "I love you"

Sweet gentle knight, I hear your heartfelt cries
And yes, I know how lonely life can be
You've but to simply open up your eyes
And look into your heart and you'll see me
The world can be so dark, sometimes it seems
The sunlight often is a world away
But watch for me tonight there in your dreams
And night will turn into the light of day
Behind each cloud a silver lining lays
You need but wait the passing of the storm
For even on the darkest, coldest days
A spark is all it takes to keep you warm

And so I reach out to you in the dark
Just touch my hand and feel love's gentle spark

Your writing just keeps getting better and better.  This is MARVELOUS ...
so sincere and even though a little sad ...

Oooh, so lovely, First Knight. "A hour in your lover's arms, But a second within the flower"..how very true this is.  A beautiful read.

Let me, like a unicorn, in solitude roam.*~ Hymn Of Buddha

Anything I could say has already been said, but I had to add in my vote--
"I'll second all of the above!"
Beautifully done!

Very nicely put.  I could relate to this one [who can't with all the talent around here?] and it's very lovely.  Beautiful.
