I'm just a country girl at heart
A woman who believes in Mother Earth
I birthed my babies the natural way
Nursed my toddlers many a day.

I cook my meals the old fashioned way
Believe a woman at home should stay.
I love my husband through thick and thin
I believe that adultry is not in.

I live in this, a modern world
But deep inside I'm just
An old fashioned girl.

Dear Lorelei, you're all I need,
To make this world more heavenly.
You're old fashioned in your loving ways,
And its there I hope you'll always stay.

That's why....

I hold your doors open for you,
I rise when you walk into the room,
I look at you whenever you talk,
You're away from the street when we walk,
When we walk my arm is steady there,
When you sit, I gladly hold your chair,
I listen when you talk of strife,
I'm your partner throughout your life.
These things I do not because you ask,
But because they are part of our dance.
They are not your right, they are mine,
A priviledge you give me as my wife.

All of you men out there - all of these things are your way of saying to that someone special, "I love you and you are the center of my life.  These things you allow me to do make me feel like a man, and I love you because you recognize that."

All of you women out there - men need to be needed, and we love it when you lean on us (even when you don't need to lean).

I loved this Lorelei and LgnJhn....
Old fashioned values...the best around..
This made my heart sing!

A soul that writes from the heart and shares it, truly gives a gift extraordinaire!

This is absolutely beautiful!  My sentiments exactly, precisely.  I am with you all the way, and I don't care what jagged twists our society may take - I know what I know, and this describes it wonderfully!  I birthed my babies with joy, nursed them with tenderness, raised them with love.

I love my husband with everything in me, without reservation; depend on him for everything, and trust him with everything.  Everything I am, belongs to him, with freedom and the love of my soul.

I have always loved it this way, through all the decades, as his magnificent love for me has lighted my way through all our times, both joyous and heartbreaking, with such a warm light.

You are so brave so say so, though, in the face of this country, and the way it is.
