Simple, but this packs a powerful punch. Sad and beautiful work, Eloise.
~*Like a lion, without fear of the howling pack, Like a gust of wind, ne'er trapped in a snare, Like a lotus blossom, ne'er sprinkled by water, Let me, like a unicorn, in solitude roam.*~ Hymn Of Buddha
Crying is nothing to be ashamed of - for women as well as for men. Your poem is simple and yet suggests complex emotions that are very moving. I have seen many women cry, and it was never anything that i regretted witnessing for it demonstrated trust in the relationship (romantic and friendly). It is no longer the stereotype of weakness, but more a signifier of trust and comfort. Nice work.
