Note:  this was my son's Christmas present to me, knowing how much I love poetry!  Sweet kid, huh?

Life

A golden, wild happy feeling in life
You have to go from the bottom,
To the top of the ceiling.

The water is taken from a creek
That supports lives in a weary peek at the future.
It is a battle to stay alive, you might have to take a peek at a beehive.

One day a deer came up to me, but after a few seconds it decided to flee.
That is how animals react, I hope you can pay attention to that.

1999 Jonathon  (age 8, unedited)

Wow, Corinne - he's a chip off the old block.  His style shows us all the life you gave him.  I guess some people do live forever, don't they?

What a cute poem and special present to get.  It's nice to know there are some young poets out there.
