The Ark of God
--------------
as sun rests, a veil clears
though we can see,
we do not behold,
and ancient knowledge remains

the quiet comes, and the sound is there
though it speaks to us
we can not hear
and yet our hearts hear the old truth

darkness comes, and it brings us light
though it shines our way
we stumble on the path
and yet the signs brightly show the way

night shines, to give us wisdom
and we are not alone
in the cradle of heaven
On the Ark of God

Helmut

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Thanks Hoot_owl, Rosemary, Nan, Helmut and Paul.. I'm glad to be welcomed to this
"Ark of Poets", there is so much talent here I feel humbled every time I read. I am constantly saying as I read why can't I write like that.
