  New England sailor,
sailing an inlet,
why does the tide keep us in,
New England sailor,
sailing an inlet,
how long has it been.
  Let's just anchor for now
swim off the bow,
maybe go fish off the stern.
Watch the banks,
wait for the time,
knowing the tide it will turn.

  New England sailor,
sailing the bay,
sailing the bay all the day.
New England sailor,
sailing the bay,
just glad it's so early in May.
  TIGHTEN THE STAYS,
PULL IN THE LINES,
TRIM THE JIB AND THE MAIN,
check your charts,
stay on course,
and hope the wind does'nt change.

  New England sailor,
sailing the sound,
sailing the sound all around,
New England sailor,
sailing the sound,
I feel since birth we've been bound.
  Our family and friends
they all know where we've been
when they see the windburn and smiles,
wearing bare feet and shorts,
you can see it of course,
it's that far off look in our eyes.

  New England sailor,
sailing the ocean,
we're sailing it on our own,
New England sailor,
sailing the ocean
we love this place it's our home.
  Me and my wife
we have the rest of our life
spending our time as we've dreamed,
and we'll do this together forever and ever,
just spend our time as we please,
just like birds floating high on a breeze.

Nan you like poems about sailing?
         FOR YOU!
Could I get another animated boat
    for this one PLLLLEEEEAAASSSEEE!!!!!

All righty, Paul - You've got me hooked.... Here's a special beacon for you.... Nobska Lighthouse - at the end of my street - Overlooking Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard Sound.... Just in case you find yourself lost at sea just a little north of Long Island....

Paul - whew!  I thought this was going to be another of those villainous poems about an old sea dog like me.  I can see you are a loving man who would not tolerate such surrilous behavior.  I liked your poem, too.  Romantic in a masculine way.

Good poem Paul, could imagine myself at the deck!  Now maybe I'll get that tan I've been talking about, I've been told I'm blindingly white hee hee!
