Let me rest amongst these lichened souls that
stand where once trees stood sleeping
sway against the northern night.
Let my greens break into blacky-blues and dragonflies
and the sounds of beetle truth remind me of the rings I grew
before the long sigh and when the shamble rains began.
Let me rest a while and breathe amongst the salmonberry
and the tumblewood of cotton, ash and hemlock, fir and cedar.
And let the sounds of winds and trees tip-talking
across the sky reawaken me from sleep in sapling dress and
new reach.

Well Kevin you've done it again, you do it so well, your talent is so far beyond my own,
yet it inspires me to continue and develop.
It's an honor to be in the same forum as you.

I love this poem.  The subject is great and the description and images you painted wonderful.  Nature is one of the beauties of the world.
