As we grow older,
(And hopefully wiser)
What's important seems to change,
It's not the money or material things,
They become quite plain.

I'd love to be a window,
Across from a day care school,
Watching kids play out life,
Just doing the things kids do.

Just being a simple window,
Watching the day go by
Skyscrapers going upwards
Ruining the view of the sky.

Hey! Look over there!
Little girls of peaches and cream,
Having a tea party setting,
And all of their grown up dreams.

Across the street in their "real" world,
Little boys are running and winning
Venturing out of their protective backyards,
Little lives just now are beginning.

See the old oak right out front?
The wind bends back and forth,
And look what it does to the pond over yonder,
The ripples-white caps into shore.

Yep, a window's what I wish I was,
Watching the world go by.
No worries or problems with just one care,
To get "Windexed" to clear my eyes!

Toerag: You wake us up with laughter... and then gently lead us to think and ponder... and the journey is a beautiful one!!

This is absolutely lovely! May you always "see" so clearly!!! Thank you!

Darling: I think you would have to be a stained glass window..

Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn.

Well, you'll never make window status, Toe, but you can always be a peephole....not much of a change

Balladeer.....I'll take that as a compliment, knowing what an expert you are on "peepholes", looking through windows and such.....

Now wait JUST a sec!!! *G* Under ordinary circumstances, I'd be swinging my baseball bat at the mere mention of anyone (but suthern, of course *G*) kissing Toe. But I could sell enough tickets for the great Toedear Ballarag event to retire before the end of the year! LOL.

Seriously, Toe... this is one of my favorites.... from a collection of treasures!

What a great ideal Toe, to be a window.  Wish I'd thought of it.  You wrote with tenderness--this is such a treasure.

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.
