You didn't deserve my tears tonight,
yet I gave them to you willingly.
My heart poured like rainwater,
onto the surface of my skin.
Drop after bitter drop of me,
and not once did you relent.

Yes I loved- I gave too much,
I now lay an empty pool-
drained thouroughly by you,
and your needy love.

You don't deserve a second chance-
to fill this pool to forgiveness.
You need only to move on-
to a new pool in need of drainage.

Really like this, sad, but wiser. Now I hope your filling up your pool again for someone who deserves it.

Sept- thank you, but I think it might take more than three months to get over a four year engagement...maybe someday I'll meet the right one!

Paul- I'm starting to feel more alive on my own than I've ever felt while with him.  thank you for your comments hun, always much appreciated!

John-First let me welcome you to passions!  Secondly I'd like to say no, sometimes it better to leave well enough alone instead of trying to fix all the problems and start over.

The deeper sorrow carves into our soul the more joy we may contain...

Very nice expression of a universal human concern!

Great poem Devina! You really know how to express your feelings well. Keep up the good work. Hey Devina I have some pieces to help you with your Guardian Angel poem.

He's my inspiration, my strength.
His love for me,
extends to the greatest lengths.
He makes sure I'm happy
and safe.
He's always on time
and he's never late.

Those words are use to use and you can flip it any kind of way you want. Set your poem up like mine and combine some of your own ideas. You can even use some of my words from my poem if you need to.
I tried but, it's a little hard to do a manly version as compared to a female version.

Hi divina,  An excellent portrayal of someone that was emotionally unavailable for you.  A lesson I am learning is we can't make someone love us we can only let them love us.   I hope you find someone who will be a good friend for you and one that wants to give and receive Love.     James
