"So Close But Far Away"

So many miles away you sit,
Yet speaking to me still,
The tears in your voice,
Bring back everything thats real.

All the memories that we made,
Can never be replaced,
But they seem to hurt to much,
Without the smile on your face.

I've spent so many years,
Growing before your eyes,
I try to forget that now,
Your missing so much of my life.

Holidays pass and new years comes,
My first completley without you,
No more memories to make,
As the past slips from view.

I try to hide the tears,
But you know me to well,
Its funny how you always did,
Understanding when i failed.

I always came to you,
Layed my soul at your feet,
Becuase i knew you understood me,
And your advice ran deep.

Sitting here and thinking,
That this will never feel right,
Your so far, but still so close,
When you speak to me tonight.

The days have seemed like years,
Since i've seen you agian,
Affriad i'll be forgotten,
Between now and then.

I have my life now,
But something is always missing,
I tell myself it isnt forever,
But my heart isnt listening.

I say ill write you letters,
But i can never truly say,
How much time i have spent,
Missing you today.

The children and there laughter,
Everything i saw through there eyes,
The sweetest dreams and smiles,
That could never be comprimised.

I tell you that i love you,
And my voice starts to crack,
For everything im feeling,
I wish i could say more than that.

Tell you how i lose myself,
Every now and then,
When i start to remember,
That you were my best friend.

So close but still so far,
With so much left undone,
Unsiad words and memories,
Left here finding none.

So much that you've given me,
I learned to live without,
Becuase you lie just out of reach,
Still i often wonder about.

How you spend your daytimes,
That you used to spend with me,
When you look at my picture,
Now what do you see?

The little girl that you left behind?
Or all that i have learned?
The beautiful child you held so dear?
Or the woman I have turned?

Do you wish that time had frozen,
So you didnt miss a thing,
That thought and that wish,
Hold an all to familar ring.

But life goes on i've noticed,
Even though its often hard,
Because i love you so much,
And your close, yet still so far.

Sorry it took me so long to find this sis, but with us sharing the same computer and all!!  I hope you know that she has and always will be proud of the beautiful woman you have become, you're no longer just "my little sis"- you've became a person all your own.  No matter what, you'd better remember that no one can compare to a sister's love!!!!

Open arms can be the most fragile in the world...

Life is sometimes like a box of chocolates
It changes now and then
In me you found another fan
Where did you find such words to say
You sure have a very nice way
Thx

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.
