In the space between moments

~*For The Person Whom I Want to Spend All my Tomorrows With*~

Long quieted yesterdays roam,
Unmeaningful and bleak.
Seas of longing gently foamed,
As your light I wished to seek.

Love was but a hollow word,
Until it lingered on your lips.
Eternity's voice I then heard,
A melody setting the world adrift.

Your eyes held something true,
A light never shown before.
It was as if my life began anew,
As if my sails had now reached shore.

We shared darkness and the light,
And faced the storm with certainty.
My soul has never been so bright,
As when you simply be with me.

My yesterdays are now gone,
Melted within a forgiving mist.
Tomorrow is rising upon the dawn,
As I feel your gentle kiss.

Love is ours forevermore,
Holding our hearts entwined.
Heaven sent, our wishes pour,
And finally your love is mine.

~*Like a lion, without fear of the howling pack,
Like a gust of wind, ne'er trapped in a snare,
Like a lotus blossom, ne'er sprinkled by water,
Let me, like a unicorn, in solitude roam.*~ Hymn Of Buddha

This is beautiful, Krista! Say, when you get married someday this would be beautiful to read to him during the ceremony!

Great poem. These are my favorite lines: Love was but a hollow word,
Until it lingered on your lips.

Thank You!

Nan- I can't wait either...maybe someday I can have half the command on words that you do...{wishful thinking}

Jenny Lee- Thank you and you're welcome!

Hey Dusk- LOL, sorry bout that, my friend. I do believe that if I were to ask you though, love was a hollow word before Kelly too.  We got it right the second time around though, huh?   We make betta friends! Here's to friendship forever.
