Resolution

What becomes
of us now…
time has flown
untouched, unsalvageable,
wasted in fear
Come and gone,
another year
Rejoicing not in love
that pours, storm-like
Closing windows
slamming doors,
so many
vessels upon the floor
catching drops seeping
into irreparable cracks
in a ceiling
No patches will
hold the rain
Let the winds tear
back the roof and the
floods destroy the walls
and drench me
with the sea
that is
you

May this upcoming year not have you writing a "resolution" such as this next year.  My heart goes to you.  Excellent piece, Caroline.

I wonder which meaning of "resolution" you refer my friend. All my hugs to you.
