MIDNIGHT LOVER Midnight lover, you lay with me In soft blue realms of ecstacy. You dance with me in velvet flight Across the windswept clouds of white. You feel the fire of my skin, Searing red temptation of sin. Yet in my arms let passion bloom, As nature's green perfumes the room. You lead emotion to delight Till all seem one and one beams bright. A golden ray, warmth from above Upon the face of new found love. Holding me in the ardent glow Of eternity but ours to know, Midnight lover, in you all is right, Till you disappear by morning's light. I live the dream, longing for you, To somehow make it all come true. I face the day longing for night To once again find me held tight Within the very arms of Grace And the sweet smile upon your face. You know, I had a happy New Year because it was a moment spent laughing with my two kids - but after ours was over, there was still a little something missing...You. I was so at ease, finally reaching you on the phone, and staying on there with you to see yours in! It made my whole night complete, as I didn't think I'd be able to share it with you - a little will sure goes a long way! There was no better way to spend it twice, once with my boys, and once with you...It was like a beginning to "us" finally! I will forever hold that moment precious to me....Thank you for giving me yet one more priceless memory to add to our collection! - - - If I can just touch you once, then I feel I have accomplished what I am called to do...- - pFF |

Wow, beautiful writing, I'm a new member here and I guess it looks like you've found love on-line with another resident poet? Congratulations....but be careful.... I had my heart broken by my on-line love and it was worse than any break-up I've ever had in the 'real world'...... but good luck to you two, love can prevail..... beautiful writing by the way. I am by no means a critic, but this was wonderfully written and I greatly enjoyed it! |

You sure can find the words. I'm glad you two were able to bring the new year in together. But when you guys actually get together, you have to keep writing about your life now.
