Of all thing to face a few minutes ago
I went to Wal-Mart to buy some water.  OH NO
I found them closed and that never ever happens
except once a year and that is on Christmas.

All of a sudden panic struck and fear
I could not buy that gas can I needed, where's Balladeer.
I can't get all the way home on one tank of gas
I'm stuck here in Dallas for my last days alas.

I went straight to Krogers to buy some more water.
I got there in time but still scared for later
they were closing too and still no gas can
I'm stuck here in Dallas and really need Nan.

I went straight home to make sure I could still get
to my friends on the forum for help to celebrate
Can't get out of Dallas so might as well enjoy
all the poems on the forum to help me before it's too late.

Sure hope the electricity doesn't go out because there would be no TV, no computer...
Panic is coming once more..
Calm down I tell myself.  It wouldn't hurt if you would read.
The Bible is what I should be doing instead of this is agreed.
If we are shut down, let's us all pray for the day we can communicate in a much better way.

Happy New Years

ROFL  This is really cute Maw!  LOL   I too, panicked when I went to Walmart and found half the shelves EMPTY!  Especially the water!  LOL
Eeegads!  People are going nuts!   So scared they can't enjoy this moment in history!  I say, it's in God's hands....the only thing I fear is the bomb threats....We've got less than an hour, I love you and dad....wish we could be together right now....The kids are so excited, and don't even know why!  hehehe  How do you explain this to a 2 and 4 year old!!  I think they're just glad they're getting to stay up so late!!!  New York was beautiful BTW !!!!   Happy New Year's !!  Gennifer

Don't feel bad, Echo, I don't even have a Wal-Mart near me, but then from what I have heard about them, maybe that is a blessing!

ROFL, I love all the Wal-Mart talk, here.
You know, sometimes I think humanity would benefit from such a shut down.  Perhaps something of that stature would cause humanity as a whole to turn back to the bible.

Cute poem.  We all know that panic feeling, but Michael, do you honestly feel in a shutdown people would turn to the bible?  I'd love to think they would.
