This butterfly is not for catch

She walks in beauties dream of heart.
In every sway, in every way.
And brings bouquets with each depart
In every splay, in every say.

She builds a magic worded net,
In hopes the butterfly will land.
Within the circle of her coquette,
To stay and perch upon her hand.

This butterfly but colored mist
And is only real to the heart.
Its life depends upon insist
The delicate whist of minds impart.

It is a creature of rare finesse,
Only seen by certain eyes.
It has the power of happiness
And all that happiness implies.

But we cannot touch incorporeal things
And only love, can see its wings.

Wow, this butterfly can lift up the weight of all on it's delicate wings too.  Great poem, Sy.  Bless you this new year.

This is so lovely Sy--makes my heart flutter.

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.

How lovely and a tribute, perhaps, to some of the wonderful poets here. Chris

Sy,
Your words are beautiful indeed
Your poetry's a joy to read
But what possessed a mind to fret
A butterfly inside a net
This creature rare is very grand
Not to be touched by human hand
And fly away with no regret
For who would think to cast a net
Upon so beautiful a wing
Who would think of such a thing
And in the lovely springtime garden
Creature's flight we all would pardon
For left behind are many flowers
To please the eye and fill our hours
For flowers are , in begging pardon
The very purpose of the garden
Liz

I love the form this was written in....I flows and flows alone....with a purpose unknown until you reach the end......The first four lines set it all in motion.....I like this a lot Seymour

Magical indeed....your words flutter beautifully!

Pssst....being caught's not so bad.....Depends on who is holding the net!     True love catches you, but then releases you to fly on with freedom, knowing you will eventually "light" on her shoulder when weary...

Fabulous read sir !!  Master poet indeed !!
