Pepper, Empty Your Box!

It is quite hard to send a post these days
To those who live afar in other states
Dispite the fact we have our modern ways
We owe it all of course to our Bill Gates

It's called an e-mail, that's the name they gave
To swift and sure deliver of the mail
They say that it will time and money save
And through the wires our messages will sail

The Inca tribes have put Bill Gates to shame
On foot they sent a post in half a day
By relay team across a moutain range
But Pepper's e-mail is kaput, they say

Your mailbox is quite full of mail, I fear
You've got to somehow empty it, my dear

(And do it before midnight, sweetie!)
My e-mails are not getting through to you
They say your mailbox is loaded. You can't recieve any more e-mails
Liz

I agree with dysnder, your talents seem endless.

Endless talents like yours,
only keeps Passions feigning for more.

Iknow! I know! I could walk over to her house and hand deliver a message faster than the e-mail can get it there. It's time for a call to arms! We all need to band together and tell her hubby that he's a big MEANIE if he doesn't get her a computer instead of webTV! Surely under the weight of such strong words on our part, he will have not choice but to acquiesce.

Don't be a meanie!
Don't be a schlepper!
Get a new computer
For our little Pepper!

Rainbow, I have no idea why an e-mail wouldn't go through. My box is never full. I'm not as popular as Pepper. I'll e-mail you tomorrow and you click respond, see if that works. I'm off to bed. Too sleepy to see the new millenium arrive.
Love ya,
Liz

Thanks, Michael

Mr. Balladeer,
I think I know a way around this mess
It's a little messy, I confess
I'll e-mail you all my letters
Then you can simple run them over to Pepper
Her box will then remain unclogged
And you'll get in your daily jog
I will get my precious e-mails read
And Pepper won't have to worry her little head.
She will get her mail so much faster
If we imitate the Inca master

Sy,
Thanks, there's probably an e-mail in there from me, that is, if your computer is working.

Liz, you are a pip, you are.  Happy New Year from Southern Calif.

and is refreshed.

Elizabeth,

I'm afraid I'm to blame,
I just love that gal to shame.
I send her mail today and yesterday
asking her to come out to play.
I'll try to use my drums sometimes
or use my trustee dimes.

Echo, Thanks for reading all of my poems. Seems you're always there.
Liz

Martie,
Didn't know how else to contact Pepper.
But it worked, didn't it?
Maybe see you soon?
Liz

Julie, Julie, have no fear
Send your mail to Balladeer
He has offered to relay
Everything the poets say
He will jog there every morning
Dropping news and dire warning
To Pepper's house he runs with ease
Delivering mail, just like a breeze
But if some day his legs give out
We'll find a way to work it out
We'll run the Inca's relay race
Just keep your drum in a handy place!
Thanks,
Liz

I'd love to, Liz, although I feel
It might not be too great a deal
If I show up, both night and day
And hubby answers, what can I say?
That I come, bearing mail from you?
Somehow I don't think that would do.
I'm not sure but it's my guess
I'd be looked on as the Phoney Express!!

Well, Mr. poet Balladeer
Just show up with your insect gear
It's all up front, it's all legit
You'll deliver mail and be a hit!

I think I'll just deliver mine personally
Don't worry Pepper, you'll never be without news.
Liz

Oh, sure. I simply have to say
"Sir, you need service every day
And, for those bedbugs that can bite
You also need it every night."
These are the trials and trevails
Of one too good at delivering male, er, mail.
