i'll go to sleep come bedtime
my bedtime is ne'er
(as all the poets sigh)
i'll go to sleep when i die
i'll write and i'll write
sometimes while eating pie
sometimes to the hornmyc rhythm
of the trains passing by
but i'll ne'er go to sleep
no not till i die
some might say i'm a sadist
but dear friend you seen my latest?

The title pulled me in, this too was good

Very good.  The title, too, pulled me in to read.  Me like.

You have good titles!  I always have trouble with titles.  I like your icon, too!  And I can certainly relate to writing when I should, by all rights and means, be sleeping!  Ah, a fellow poet!

Walt: and this is the man who said he couldn't find his words anymore...

Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn.

You seem to have no problem with finding words to me! I can relate to being up writing when I should be sleeping, though! Write 'till you pass out...seems to work for me! hehehehehe
