Color Our World

Coloring our world with his words;
Revealing to us a whole new view,
Another perspective on life. We
Ingest his lines, his phrases; sometimes failing to see the
Gentle heart and caring soul that lays beyond.

Color my world once more with your words;
Open up the doors to my mind;
Offer up your gift so that I might see; and
Fellow poet, deny me not your truths.

Color our world with your words as
Only you can. We breathlessly wait for
Each new endeavor, every line, every word.
Give flight to our minds and to our souls
With each thought you put down on paper.
Yes, step back if you must, reevaluate your life and your talents, but
Return once more to color our world.

 "I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me , this has always been enough." ~Nicholas Sparks from The Notebook

This is very well written, Ruth, and an excellent acrostic.

Beautiful acrostic hoot!

Beautiful words,
come from some of the most gifted birds.

You have put into words what those of us who know him, cannot....and I'm sure he blushes at this tribute!

This fool read it Hoot, then fainted so he read it again, after coming round for the second time he found he was speechless and couldn’t reply.
Hopefully my little mental walkabout won’t last that long and at the end of it I’ll be a little clearer on what I’m going to do next. Fortunately Ron doesn’t mind non-writers hanging about to read, so I’ll still be around the place making it look untidy.

Craig, Coof and Coegwyr

(With all this free time not writing I’ve managed to update my site which is one good thing)

 Yes, I admit your general rule. That every poet is a fool:
But I myself may serve to show it. That every fool is not a poet.

Exquisite!
