A moon indeed, my daughter dear...
Is the brightest light, in the dark of night...
To those walking in Darkness,
It's the Grandest in their sight...
Lending direction to their footsteps...
Adding Faith into their fear...

The Earth is God's footstool,
and to Satan, it's his throne...
The Sun is God's reflection...
That warms us, leads us home...
The moon is the Church,
Lifted up, in Heavenly places,
Having no light of its own...
Merely a mirror, a glowing of faces,
Reflecting God's Love, His seeds are sown...

So Blessed is the moon, betrothed in His love,
Backgrounded by the stars, saints of old up above...
Majesticly framed by the darkness surround...
A guiding light in the night-time...
To those stumbling on the ground...

Though we may not feel significant,
When in the presence of the Sun!
Neither earth nor star,
Just a moon, not the Son...
But we're the brightest light God gives,
To the man who is undone...

Some of our Brightest understandings ---
Come from our Darkest experiences.

Very nice comeback - - you blew mine out of the water with this one!  Geesh....
"....stars, are saints of old up above..."  I think that was the most beautiful line!  Very moving...
You were talking about the moon the other night, and you didn't think anyone was listening, but I was - as usual.     I've been paying far more attention to it now...I see it in a different light.  It's very beautiful, the bright winter moon.  I actually wrote about it in two poems while driving back to TN.  Thank you once again for your inspiration!  Glad I inspired this beauty from you!  I hope others see it for it's fullness as I do....I love you dad.

 - - - If I can just touch you once, then I feel I have accomplished what I am called to do...- - pFF

I see you corrected your copyright name...I was gonna tell you about that.  Glad you did !     I also see that Maw isn't Madd anymore!  LOL     Looks like you two are getting your act together in here!  hehehe  Tell Mae I love my camera!  Fabulous investment, it was!  God will bless you both for your huge hearts, and all your generosity!  You don't know how much it means to me....Thank you.

What a wonderful reply!... I also liked the line concerning the stars and saints.  I bow to you and yours... and the love that one reads in your words to one another.  How much it shines.

Pulchritudinous!!!  That is the only word I can think of to describe it!

~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. To escape this, accept the blood of Jesus Christ! ~*~

I think ER has a new word cause she used it on one of mine too.  I'll have to get a dictionary soon and look it up to see if it's good or bad...lol.  This is a beautiful reply and a clever poem in it's own right.  You definately have a talent for putting things into unique perspective.  My prayers for Mom seem to be coming true and thank you for helping time to heal her heart.  Peace to all for the coming year.

Exquisite poem! What a grand response!

Where there is faith,
there is love.
Where there is love,
there is peace.
Where there is peace,
there is GOD.
Where there is GOD,
there is no need.
