We've all seen the plays,
We've all cried our tears,
And yet we all say that all the world's a stage
Does this mean we are all merely acting a character
Who we only want to be?

Smiling, laughing, loving,
And then turning around
Picking up a knife to cut your heart
All the world's a stage
And actors abound and are useless

We've watched the many civil Juliets cry over their Romeos,
We've been with Hamlet and his foes,
We've run from our destinies like Oedipus
And found only deepest despair,
But we've also witnessed the magic of Cats
And the liveliness of our world.
All the world's a stage
And anything can happen

So we cry, we smile, and we love
We get through the day
Through whatever may ail us
Through whatever roses we find
And we know that we've lived another day
Gone through another showing of your life
That may soon end
But I have only one question, my friends,
If all the world's a stage,
Where is the audience?

"Sometimes stars can only be seen in darkness."

"Sorrow's crown of sorrow is remembering happier things."

Our audience lies in the eyes of every face we encounter - throughout "The Seven Stages of Man"

Very intriguing poem!  Ah, the audience is there, but you're fortunate if you're blinded by the stage lights and cannot see them.  Audiences are always two-faced, and you will never discover your part by listening to them.

Always, only discover your part by listening to your heart.

I am the actor who plays the part, marching to the tempo of the conductors baton.  The audience is there, but I am glad sometimes that I dont see it, cause it would make me 'act; differently if I did!

Yes the world it is a stage
And we are merely actors
Our script it is dependent on
Many unseen factors
We have no choice, but act life out
To take each day as they come
I hope to make the play I'm in
A least a good long run
If I can bring just one bright smile
If I can ease one pain
This simple play of life I'm in
Shall not have been in vain
