I'm sorry I haven't been a better friend for you
I'm sorry that I'm never sure of what I should do
I'm sorry I can't take away all the times you've seen me cry
I'm sorry I haven't an answer for all the where's and why's
I'm sorry that you see me when I'm down and out
And when you say you love me I still have some doubts
I'm sorry I'm not the mountain that I wanted you to see
I'm sorry I'm not to you what you are to me

Work like money doesn't matter, love like you've never been hurt, dance like nobody's watching...

I'm a little sad. I forgive you! That's how it touched me and I don't even know you.

The sentiment here is precious...sad, as well.

This is touching, have you shown this to the person it was written for (if it was written for soemone)?

This is a vintage poem from 1983 and I don't recall if the person it was written about actually saw it, however I wrote it for Me. Selfish?

So sweet and sincere....you wrote to yourself...I don't think it's selfish...you are just telling yourself you are sorry!!  I can completely and totally relate to that...do remember though, forgiveness should always come after the apologies!!

Take Care
