Christmas in a box brought out once a year
mistletoe, ornaments, glad tidings and good cheer,
joy to the world love and peace on earth
all this on one day and all this for one birth.

Christmas in a box box of such a size
in streets full of homeless would really be a prize.
They would empty all the ornaments and mistletoe
put it on it's side and fill it with their lives.

  Christmas in a box,
lesson to be learned
appreciate what you have
and keep it out all year,
not the decorations
or the Christmas tree
just the peace on earth
joy and love for you and me.

Short, to the very important point, and lovely.  Very well done.

You really painted an image with the picture of the many homeless people living out of a box.  Your good heart gives you away in this poem.

So true.  This is beautiful!
