California! Yeah! Okay, I'm done now

Such a lonely number, I think
To say that you are the best
The first above, far and beyond the others
Such a high place, I wonder
To fall from when they tell me you're tops
Looking far below infinitely
Such is the dreaded number one
Who must face such a fearsom life
Caught between zero,
Who sobs bitterly at the nothingness
Like a broken child
And in the sight of two,
Who will never cease to represent the most powerful
The little thing called love
Where its companionship will never step
Such is the lonely number I fear
When someone comes up and tells me
"You're number one."

This is great!

Cute poem- reminds me of that old song, "one is the lonliest number that you'll ever see.."

Great, Astraea!  I always say, go for Number Three...more company and less stress, and you're always in the top ten

But in Paul's case...how sweet it must be to be number 4!    (just love how you look at it that way! Your children are blessed too)

Astera, wonderul thoughts to be number one, but I agree with the others... 2, 3, 4, is also a blessing.
