Another beautiful poem about a beautiful subject.  Lovely.

This is beautiful, and I love trees =o)

Thank you Astraea and Echo I love trees too

I have learned that the pain of a lost love will fade, But the memory of having loved will last forever.

In your branches strong and thick
Will safety there I find?
And from the harshest storms of all
Will your love be kind?
Will you grant me shelter
In times when things are rough?
And lend to me a place to sit
When I have had enough?
Will you provide a quite place
For me to lay and rest?
A place for me to hang my head
When I'm not at my best?
Or will your branches confine me
So tight I can not breathe?
And smother out the life from me
If I should try to leave?
Will you keep me firmly rooted
So tight I can not grow?
Then simply turn your back on me
When I've no where else to go?
Instead of shelter, will you crush
All my hopes and all my dreams?
And bury me admist the wake
Of all your plans and schemes?
Will you be my destiny
My saving grace, my fate?
Or will I learn a lesson here
After it is too late?

Your words always show such comfort First Knight. . . I do enjoy them. . . I like the idea of being a tree, branches enveloping the heart of the one I love. . .
