Showers of Love
~First Knight~

Be still my sweet don't fight it,
Sprinkled with my love.
Like morning dew on flowers.
Showered from above.

Sparkles from the water,
On each and everyone.
Mixed with many colors.
The show has just begun.

Sunrise comes so early,
Bringing light to all that's here.
Another sky filled glory,
My true love don't you fear.

I will never leave you,
I am standing by your side.
Your tree of life my darling.
My branches stretched out wide.

Shade for you to rest,
A shelter from this heat.
My strength to protect you,
My gift is now complete.

So......

Be still my sweet don't fight it,
Sprinkled with my love.
Like morning dew on flowers.
Showered from above.

I have learned that the pain of a lost love will fade, But the memory of having loved will last forever.

David...I sit here with tears in my eyes after reading this. I know I haven't been easy to deal with the past two days and I'm sorry for that. Please be patient with me...can I use the old saying "God isn't finished with me yet"?
Thank you so much for this one...it truly speaks to this heart

Showering poetic adoration seems to be a natural inclination for your heart's calling.  Well done, indeed.

Very lovely.  I love these types of poems.  Especially when talented people write them.
