We watch with amazement As evening is near. The beauty of nature In our earthly sphere. The sun as it's setting Across mountains so fine. The beautiful sunset with colors divine. Lets one know, that evening, Is not far behind.
But the light of the moon As it climbs to its height. Changes the evening To the stillness of night. Twinkling stars In the heavens so bright, Invite us to look At the splendors of night.
~*Like a lion, without fear of the howling pack, Like a gust of wind, ne'er trapped in a snare, Like a lotus blossom, ne'er sprinkled by water, Let me, like a unicorn, in solitude roam.*~ Hymn Of Buddha
Krista, Meadowmuse, whiskey, Kamla, Marge and Elizabeth - Thank you all for reading and your kind comments. This was actually the very first poem that I ever wrote oh-so many years ago. We won't disclose how many! LOL Just thought I would pull it out of the bottom of the pile after seeing that beautiful full moon a few nights ago.
