This is another of the poems from my collection, "The Lantern Bearers".  It was written when I was 19. . . I hope that you all enjoy it. . .

Sven

I woke up at six o'clock in the morning from a dream
      I had.
The dream was about you.
When I realized that it was only a dream, something
      inside me said, "Be glad!"
"Because she probably had the same dream too."

But then my thoughts turned to a time not long ago.
Sitting on the beach at six o'clock in the morning,
      the sun on the rise.
It was then that I swore to myself that I'd never
      let you go,
As I saw all the love in your eyes.

Then my thoughts turned to another time not so long
      ago.
At six o'clock in the morning, with you in my arms.
Lying together after sharing what only true lovers
      know.
As I felt all the love in your arms.

Then my thoughts turned, yet again, to a time, just
      yesterday it seems.
At six o'clock in the morning, knowing that we would
      soon part.
We said to each other, "I'll keep you in my dreams"
As we shared all the love in our hearts.

But now my thoughts have turned to the here and now.
At six o'clock in the morning as I leave to join
      you.
There was a time long ago when I wondered, "How?"
But now I know the answer, because I love you.

Sven, I was just about to e-mail you to find out where you were, I hadn't seen you post lately. This poem is very nice,so is your photo. I can't post my picture because I got a new computer and the scanner doesn't work. Maybe Denise will help me.

That's a lot of wisdom for a 19 year old, Sven. Good poem.

Excellent! I'd also like to know about the collection...why the title "Lantern Bearers"? Very intriguing!
