Storm Clouds

Horizon’s eye blinking and matted
Shut tight against the jamb; weeping
In the turbulence of birthing.
With white-hot fingers scratching
The darkness of pain; pawed
By the low rumbling contractions
Of fissured womb ruptured
Into panting eastward howling
From conception full term.

This is great...you definitely do say so much with so few words!

I am smiling all of you....it seems I get bored so easily that I write few words...so I can go have fun with something else!!

Oh man Robert, I can see your talent oozing from this piece. And you didn't even had a lot to say either. I know you'll make fans of short poetry proud.

I love this.  So beautifully written that I was speechless for a moment.  Lovely and truly so.

2, Paul and both home births...scarey to think back on it now 21 and 16 years later!!

Thank you Astraea...this was/is one of my favorite poems I have written. It is from the "next" generation poems I am doing.
