Gratification

Gratification
comes from the heart,
and mind
not from the wallet.
The wallet
at times may help,
but a wallet
with no heart
and mind
is deprived
from the very start.

I agree.....words to think about LD!

A soul that writes from the heart and shares it, truly gives a gift extraordinaire!

...and it works both ways... those wallets with no heart - and those without a heart who are out looking for wallets.....

If you come up with a few more like this, you could write a book, "Maxims by Gloria".
I liked the poem

Oh how true and a wallet with no money is deprived too

I have learned that the pain of a lost love will fade, But the memory of having love will last forever.

Thanks to all of you for reading and understanding. I wrote this before Christmas as I was feeling the material reality that stores use to brainwash us into buying there products, when in reality what we give of ourselves for others is more gratifying then any item a store could sell us. Thanks again, I guess I'm just getting old.
