Hello dear pipTalk poet friends.  I want you all to know that we've updated the Remember page to include both Mommy Muys and Helen May Chambers.  Please feel free to stop by and include your comments, memories, and condolences to our departed loved ones.

If you have knowledge of anyone else who should be included on this page, please notify Ron or me so that we can update.

My heart has a huge hole in it today.  Someone so special to me can now be added to this memorial page.  Our dear, quirky, funny, strong, intelligent poetess SERENITY!  Nan, Karen too has left this world for one that has no pain, and certainly no more hurricanes.  Her husband George, was just put to rest, and now she has joined him.

I too am in shock. What happened? And so soon after George passed on. I feel so bad for her kids, her mom and the rest of the family. So much loss in a couple of weeks.

Dear dear Karen, it's almost impossible to believe that you too have gone Home ... but then we know how deep your sorrow was for the loss of your husband and though we don't understand it, it was perfect timing. We will miss you tremendously!!
Hugs across time and space ...

Karen came home and was very tired.  She went to lay down, but never woke up!  She obviously needed this long rest, and finally she will not fear anymore hurricanes, doctor's tests, losses of her loved ones, both human and animal.  New Orleans has lost yet another truly genuinely caring, and loving soul who was one wacky witch.  Both Zack and Krista are very strong young people and are handling things well, Karen would be so proud of them both.  They are planning a memorial for their mother at the New Orleans Voodoo Temple, with Priestess Miriam officiating.  I am not sure when this will happen, but it is exactly what our Karen would have wanted.

Blessings Be Our Sweet Serenity.  I will always love that screwball and miss her terribly.

I was shocked to hear of Serenity's passing. I spoke with her son yesterday and he said he and his sister will be ok. I told Serenity last week that we would talk when I got back and now to know it won't happen leaves a lump in my throat. We will all miss her greatly.

I was telling someone about Karen today, and said that gal could make me laugh and cry all within a few lines, whether poetry or responses. She was a beautiful heart and so often made me smile. She will be missed.  Love to all.

Karen will be missed by more people than she could ever have realized. Her life was open to so many who came to know her and to love her. She held the heart and minds of many people in many different places in her life. She graciously share her ups and downs. Her tears and laughter. Most of all her intellect and wit. Karen will be missed~~We love you Karen, You will never be forgotten jo perry

Just unbelievable - Karen's mother died as well on September 16th.  Karen did get to see her before she passed.  Krysta and Zach have a lot on their plate, and need all our prayers and healing thoughts.  They sound good, and are taking control of things well.  Still haven't heard when Karen's memorial will be held, but will know tomorrow.

I am... stunned. I talked with Karen shortly before her husband's passing, knew both her husband and mother were critical... but this just leaves me speechless. This world has lost an incredible, multi-talented, remarkable woman. She touched so many of us in so many ways.

Sometimes we wonder why something like this happens. She was so strong for so long. There are no words to express how I feel.

Karen was an amazing writer - a very funny lady and a true friend.

There are just no words...only tears...

My heart goes out to Zack and Krista - losing both parents so close together -

Nobody can do things like this better than you Ms Nan. It's not an easy task but then again you and your kindness and heart it's probably easier for you than most. So glad to see you're still here and in charge and would guess your eraser hasn't been used since I left.

OMG, just came in and was thrilled to see that Nan added Mommy Muys to the Remember page (thank you Nan). Then I noticed that 1slicklady was there too, which was rather a shocking discovery, because she wasn't that old yet. Then I read the comments and got another shock to read that Karen has passed away too. Darn, too many good people just die too soon. I'm keeping all families in my thoughts.

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

Karen had a way about her that she could teach, humor, and encourage.  Her depth and expression, to be admired.

What a lady!  She is remembered.

A memorial has been planned for Karen Blaise (Serenity) on All Saint's Day, November lst, 2013 at the Voodoo Temple  in New Orleans.  I know we will all miss her and I sure hope she is raising a little ruckus in heaven!  The link to the announcement is below for those of you able to attend.

Hello all,

I've finally posted memoriams for Karen and for Huan Yi.  I couldn't find a whole lot of information on John.  He was a pretty private sort.  If anyone has anything I should add, please let me know.

Nan, perhaps you can update the page before Ken's memorial service [4-11-15] that we might give the family the link to share with others.
