Lumpy oatmeal makes me crazy!

0 posted 2013-02-07 12:33 PM

Hi everyone,

I am having a needy moment.  My Mom is hanging in there, but has stopped eating and drinking.  I thought she would not make it through the night two nights ago, but she rallied and talked to me a lot yesterday.  I am so happy to have this time with her, but she is my Mom.  It's hard.  I find myself being strong for my older sisters who all live farther away.  So I guess I am looking for a bit of  release here. I tried writing a poem about this last night, but it sucked.

xoxo

Oh, hon... I wish these arms could reach you! I grieve for you and with you and wish your sisters were there with you... for your sake and theirs. I know it's hard - please know you're not alone. I'll email you my phone number - my arms can't reach but my heart can and I've ears to listen - any time, day or night. (((((HUGS)))))

Alison, although it was not my mom, but my sister who was in the same condition as I took care of her those last days and hours... all one can do is be there and know that your mom can feel your love and caring.

Dear Alison, I too reach out across the world to hug you in this extremely sad moment. It is a privilege to be close to our mothers when their time of transition approaches. We would never want to let them go, it seems impossible to go ahead without them and though our rational mind and our soul know that it is a natural process, our hearts can hardly bear it. You have done well to tell us of your need of support, allowing us to be close to you. The energy of love that is sent out to you and to your Mom will contribute to cope with these most challenging heartbreaking times.
You are not alone in accompanying your beloved Mother to the doors of eternity, the Angels are right there with you and will assist her in her journey back into God's arms.
You both know that your bond will not be broken, on the soul level you will forever be connected.
May this thought make your pain bearable, dear Alison. Smile her into peace and caress her as often as you can, your love gives her wings ...

Sending all my love and hugs.

Ali, my dear friend....

let her go. Let your mother know it is alright to follow the next step in her life. This is such a difficult moment, but she needs to hear that all she has taught you has had meaning, and that you will never, ever forget her.

and then caress her forehead, touch her, touch her hand, give her her needed release. God bless you, your mother, her needs.

Love, K

Dear Ruth,

You have warmed my heart truly.  Hour friendship means a lot to me. I have often been touched by your kindness, but not ever as much as when you reached out to me here.

Thank you.

Love,
Ali

Dear M,

you are right.  I am with my Mom every day.  We know each other so well - each glance that she casts my way tells me something.  She is a wonderful woman and one heck of a role model.  Thank you for caring and for thinking of me.

Dear Margherita,

My Mom and I have had the opportunities to discuss our beliefs in what she may expect.  Those conversations have brought me peace.  Thank you for the love and for caring about my Mom.  You mean so much to me.

Dear Sunshine,

I have let her go, but she is a fighter.  She rallied after I posted this message.  I think to see her daughters.  All have visited and she will be seeing some of her grandchildren today.  This is her gift to her family.  I expect her to let herself go after she has accomplished her visits.  She is so strong and loving.

Love you
Ali

Dear Alison, my sweetheart...what is really fantastic is knowing she's still with you when she passes over. There will be moments...moments that you just know she's standing right beside you...moments that you know she's watching over you...moments that certain songs will come on a radio that gets louder by itself just for that song...warm breezes in the winter and cool breezes in the summer...you'll just know and sometimes you will smile and sometimes you will cry when it hits you...

I get it all the time, for the past 33 years.

You are stronger than you'll ever know.
You are loved.

(((((Alison))))), you are sustained by Universe itself in this loving accompaniment during your beloved Mother's path towards Home.

I love Dixie's loving and wise words. She is so right.

Love and hugs.

Dixie, you comfort me.  Not only is what you say beautiful - it's true.  Thank you, dear friend.

And thank you too, Ms. Margherita.

I love you both.

Thank you, Doc and 'Deer,

I miss you both.  Things are going well.  My Mom has taught me a lot - one lesson was to be happy for her and remember the good memories.

xoxoxo to you both.
