Lumpy oatmeal makes me crazy!

The house smells like heaven
The turkey is cooked
The table is set
Not one thing overlooked

I offer sincere thanks
To friends flung far and wide
And silently reflect
On those who fight to survive

-

I wish all my friends in PiP a happy day on this American Thanksgiving.  Whether you celebrate today or not, please know that I hold you in my thoughts.  We all have things to give thanks for.

I give thanks for my family, my friends, and for our soldiers and their families who sacrifice so much.

Wishing you the best of days.

With love,
Alison

I join in your beautiful prayer, dear Alison.

Yes, we all have reason to be grateful for the gifts we are blessed with.

Love and gratitude, also for you, dear Pip Poet friend.

Alison, you are such a gentle spirit.  Happy Thanksgiving to you too.

I found a site yesterday, and this video was only one of many, but in watching it - it made me think of you.  I  hope you enjoy it as much as I did.  A Christmas Story

Thank you for this, Alison, even though it is very late.  I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have a blessed and joyous Christmas and a lovely New Year.

Thank you Mysteria for the video.  It was wonderful.  However, I would like to save anyone the anguish that I went through in watching it.  I sobbed uncontrollably through the first story, although I knew it was going to end well, but I sobbed hysterically and in absolute physical agony during the second story - especially as my system isn't whatever enough and the image stopped several times for a few minutes at a time to get its breath back - no, I hadn't noticed it was part of a movie until after I had seen the video, but did realise it was being filmed and so it was probably fiction, and I did see it was a Christmas story so it should end well, but I thought that the second part was emphasizing one good part of it though the other part had a sad ending - but I was wrong - there wasn't a sad ending.  The second story ends well.  So without giving anything away of either story, JUST KNOW THAT BOTH STORIES END WELL!  Just had to protect other viewers.  My voice is now nasal and I have a tiny headache from the anguish, but both will go away almost immediately - well not the head nor the nose, but the tiny headache and the nasal quality of my voice from the crying.  Glad I watched though.
