I don't know if a computer could have
come up with this, but it is amazing
how long it has lasted, and how long
it will last, with such teachings...

long live the Bridge!

I give thanks to the friend who sent it to me!

Oh, I meant to ask if you felt the effects of the quake this week? The people at Ft. Riely mentioned feeling it.

10:53 PM Saturday evening. Unfortunately, the impact of what could have seemed "so close to home" missed me on first blush, because the winds were racing around so well, I thought perhaps we had been swept over by a light-weight tornado. Normally the winds only rattle the outside walls.

I had just retired but was watching some TV so my back bedboard was resting lightly against an inside wall...and the shaking that occurred really made me wonder "What the!"

I muted the TV and heard the wind howling, but the shaking was persistent and something didn't seem right at all. Sunday morning I heard about the 2 AM quake in OK, so didn't think much of it until the news was revised to mention the earlier evening quake. I'm telling ya, not many mid-westerners have ever felt anything of the like...and now some of them can appreciate what west coast folk almost take for granted.

Thanks for asking! Glad you enjoyed the Bridge!

I sure felt the earth quake. Scared me so bad, that I shook for an hour. I was at a 24 hour duty. So, I wasn't even in my own house.

As for the living bridge: perfect idea. I think I should make one with the willow branches, would take me about 5 years before it's strong enough LOL.

As for the earthquake: I've felt it once here in Holland, very light, very short, but it woke us up and I'll never forget that feeling. Dare not to think what it's like when it's happening much closer.

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow
