July 26, 2011, my father, steavenr, took his last breath, leaving us with only his words to hold forever. I know he was loved and appreciated here. It's what led him to publish his first book just a few years ago... And I thought you might want to know why his faithful posting has stopped. I want to thank you on behalf of my entire family for reminding dad that he was an author who was needed by this world! Thank you for being part of our lives and helping my dad live on forever. Oh how greatly he's missed already!

Thank you, dear Shelerella, for letting us know of your dear Dad's transition. As I said in the Open forum, Steaven will be greatly missed here on Pip. He was a wonderful Poet and a true gentleman too. One of our most precious Pip members. Steaven and his poetry will continue to touch our hearts. And his intelligent and sensitive interaction on this site will not be forgotten.
Your presence here will please us and your Dad up there too.

You are in my thoughts as is your family. Your father always wrote the kindest comments to me, and I thought his poetry was beautiful.

shelerella, So thoughtful of you to post this.Having been a reader of your father's posts I too shall miss him.I found his writing to be gentle and kind snd very good reading.He had a lot of talent. Thanks to all of you who knew and loved him. I can not tell you what it means to me right now to have him alive and well in so many hearts. I am so thankful for who he was and what he meant to so many.

I'm sorry for your loss. I didn't know your dad that well, but from what I did know of him he was a really nice guy.
He'll be missed.

This news of your father's passing, saddens me beyond belief. He was an extraordinary poet and a fine man who loved his family. You meant so much to him and he was very proud of you. I bought one of his books of poetry and it is even more special to me now.

It is indeed painful to let our dads go. I pray you find peace, comfort, strength, and courage to carry on. And may his poetry be a large part of that process.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
