Mommy Muys is getting famous |

Some journalists discovered that there are far more people in the Province Zeeland (we live in) who are 100+ or will be this year, than in any other Province in The Netherlands. So they decided to make a book about that and they will interview those who still have their senses and make photos and put them all in a book. The book will take some time I guess, but they phoned me last week that they're coming to Mommy Muys tomorrow morning. So I have to get up early. I'll take my camera and show you some pics later. Mommy Muys will be 100 on August 24, so I hope she'll make it till then. She's doing fine, but her world is getting smaller as she can't walk very well anymore. Wow! Congratulations to Mommy Muys! She must have some great stories to tell of her young days. I look forward to seeing the pictures and will wander over to the lambs in a minute. 100 years old! Incredible! Lots of love Helen |

The interview went very well, but they couldn't cover it in one session, so they will come back in a few weeks. Then I had to be in the picture too and hadn't count on that, but who cares. Then they saw my 'Rhyming Images' books on the table and I got a compliment from the photographer, which made me blush.     Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |

Mommy hs always been famous with us, dutchie. It is great she is getting that recognition...only took her a century to become a celebrity!!! SHe is a beautiful, classy lady and deserves the special treatment. Imagine the story they will do on her when she is the oldest!!!  Give her my very best!  |

Thanks all for the comments. About the white gloves: Mommy Muys has arthritis in her hands and she used to get an injection in her thumb joint every 6 months, which was very painful. Then she got a message from Marge one day, telling her about Marges grandma who used to rub her hands and feet with Vapo rub and then put on some gloves and socks to keep it glowing warm. Ever since my mom is doing that too, she hasn't needed any injections at all. That's why she's wearing those gloves. The chair is indeed beautiful, she has two, a man's chair and a lady's chair. She is sitting in the man's chair which has armrests. The lady's chair hasn't, because of the crinoline's the ladies were wearing at that time. Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |

Titia, I'm so glad I happened to look at this site today. Your Mom looks fabulous!! How exciting for her! I got all choked up when I read your story about the arthritis, I remember you telling me about that. I absolutely believe she'll make it to 100. Wow Titia! She looks fantastic at her age, that is for sure. Certainly must be the diet, exercise (on that bike) and the laid-back lifestyle you get to enjoy there. The fast-paced city can really take a lot out of one here. Good for her! Sure she is going to make it, and many, many, more years to come. By the way, I wear gloves also when I grocery shop, or am a long time in the general public now, to safeguard against all the germs. Since I started - have not had a cold, the flu, etc. and I like to think that is why. I think I am turned into a "germaphobiac." Big knuffles to you and and your mom too. |

Wow those baby lambs are really cute! I forgot to look at them yesterday when I was so excited about your Mom's fame. I just watched the video of the baby lamb being born. I've never seen anything like that. Awesome! And with no meds! ha |
